  1. Im finally upgrading my old AVIC-D2 (ugh, I know). I ended up going with the AVH-P4400BH. I Bought it new in the box. I wired it up last night, only to find the screen seems to be stuck or off-track. It won't tilt or eject unless I gently apply pressure to the top of the screen. I'm experiencing this problem with out the unit installed in the dash. No dash kit attached or anything. Just wires connected to the back, unit resting horizontally in my hand. When I gently appy pressure to the top to coax it open, I hear clicking/popping like its off track. Any ideas? I'm af
  2. I notice when I play mp3's from a cd, I can go into the settings/functions menu, and enable compression compensation or BMX or whatever it's called. It's supposed to help mp3's sound better. Is there a way to enable this function using an ipod / iphone on the AVIC D2 using a CD-ib100ii adapter? Thanks. -Matt PS- I'm looking into the AVH-4300DVD as an upgrade/replacement to my D2. Thoughts/opinions? personal experiences?
  3. downloaded the east disc, worked 100% on my D2 can't thank you enough!
  4. After digging and digging and digging, I finally found the perfect, all-inclusive ISO program it creates an ISO from a CD/DVD (or allows you to open one you already have on your computer.) it's not limited to just .iso, but will open alcohol images, and probably any other binary image format. then, using the same program, you can extract the contents of the iso, add files, remove files, etc, then build a new ISO, and burn it off Lsoft Active ISO File Manager is the name of the program @ www.ntfs.com it worked flawlessly the first time, and everytime
  5. I've tried quite a few things to get this to work. I have the CNDV_70MTPUC1_A Disc I put it in my computer, ran DVD Decrypter to create an ISO. no problem here. The problem I'm having is with all the different ISO editing programs, and trying to add my own PIM's to the ISO. In Windows, when browsing the DVD in my drive, I can see all the files and folder in the root directory, but I can't see the subfolders. They are 0kb files, instead of folders. (meaning I can see the BG folder, but inside that, the PIM2DIN is not a folder, but a 0kb file) I've tried UltraISO, but it c
  6. sorry to bring this post back up from the dead, but I'm finally in the position again. I have a DVD player hooked up to the RCA inputs. I want to add another A/V device to the input. Can I just get some RCA "Y" cables and only power up 1 AV device at a time?
  7. I'm assuming you can't play video through the CD-IB100ii ... is this true? Also, another question about the CD-IB100ii. it has an IP-BUS pass through.. would I be able to get an IP-BUS to RCA adapter, and plug into that, to give me yet another additional audio input? what are your opinions on something like: this It has the iPod dock connector to 3 RCA outputs, along with pos+ and neg wires to charge the iPod. This will allow me to get audio and video, charge, but no control through the D2, and no text display (8 characters, non scrolling.. woopty doo, right?)
  8. That cable is for the D3 the D2 doesn't have any plugs on the face. Do you guys recommend a video switcher I could use?
  9. I was curious what my options are for adding another input to my D2. Right now I have an external dvd player connected via the RCA inputs. I want to add another Audio+Video device. I know there are IP-Bus cables that go to red+white RCA's, but I was curious if it's also possible to get video input. if not, is there another way to add another audio+video device to the screen? Thanks for any info!
  10. ah, that's great information. I didn't even think about Bluetooth stuff. I'd like information on that, but I'll probably end up having to make a new thread for that. thanks for all of your help and suggestions!
  11. I got an AVIC-D2 system a while back. Since then, I've done the bypass with no problems. I got a copy of the newest firmware/maps and updated it. I got an external, portable DVD player and hooked it up to the AUX inputs. Now I'd like to hook up an iPod to it. I have a classic Nano. I understand there are multiple ways to do it. I tried searching, and going back over 20 pages, and gathered little bits of information here and there.. 1) CDIB100II This is the Pioneer iPod interface. It's slow. Something magical happens if you "clip the blue wire" but I can't figure out what.
  12. is there a way to get rid of the annoying "Warning" screens ... EVERYTIME you go to the map or video input... ? NO
