  1. You'll want something with a 'ccd' sensor as opposed to the cmos sensors on cheaper cameras, and probably with infrared LED's around it for decent nightvision capability.
  2. Okay so I had the speed pulse wire disconnected, and now the Map is finally usable so far, with only one message warning me that the parking brake was bypassed. The GPS seems extremely accurate even without a speed pulse generator, but I'll see if I need to get one eventually ordered for it... Android interface cable currently charges my phone, and I'm just waiting on an hdmi "MHL" adapter for my S3, but so far so good!
  3. There's this for starters: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35523-remove-caution-nag-screen-bypass-hack/ You'll need a hex editor though. I haven't had a chance to try it yet since my Z150 doesn't seem to want to boot into test/hack mode so far.
  4. I'm thinking it depends on the brand of remote start you have, I just tested mine after seeing your thread and my Pioneer unit stays off until I put the keys in and turn them at least one click. (Chevy with Audiovox remote start.) Then again, it might have to do with how the ignition on your car is designed...does everything else turn on such as the a/c fan and interior lights when remote starting the engine?
  5. That's a good question...I'm really thinking it's just the speed pulse wire that isn't connected right, since no one else with a bypassed Z150 has ever seen this screen. I'll find out for sure tomorrow since the tech guy there seems to know what he's doing, and see if I can get the unit wired directly to the battery so it doesn't turn off when the engine cranks. That might also get rid of some high pitched noise the unit makes when it powers up sometimes. Thanks for the advice!
  6. Alright so here's my dilemma: I'm assuming this was somehow caused from the parking brake bypass, but every few seconds this message pops up, and I have no choice but to hit "OK", as long as the Map is open. The "speed pulse" wire is connected, because in the settings menu the pulse number increases as the truck speeds up, along with that crazy morse code type beeping. I'm thinking something is detecting that the vehicle is always in park yet still moving, and it's making the unit go nuts. I'm taking it back to a shop on Monday to get it checked out, along with the Andr
