  1. yes you can...i do it all the time. Select your music source first (radio, USB, or SD). Plug in your phone to connec w/AR Unchained. You will hit Mode to get to screen mirror. If you hit the volume up or down button, you will see two tabs. One for APP and one for your music source. Select music source tab and you will be to listen to your music source with App radio mode running.
  2. I use Media Monkey to manage filename structure and album art
  3. I'm using an aftermarket Kenwood. I wanted to verify if it's software related before going back to installer to recheck connections.
  4. On 1.07, my backup camera worked without fail. Previously, it was intermittent. Sometimes, I would just get a black screen. But the problem went away on 1.07. On 1.08, this problem is happening again. On initial start, when backing out...it works fine. But if I try it again, whether it be holding the maps button or backup up again...I get the black screen. I want to confirm that this is a software issue. How can I rollback to 1.07? Is it simply a matter of updating via SD card, or do I need to do a factory reset?
  5. I could be wrong, but I believe the 4000 does not have Maps. That said, you may want to try and press and hold the other buttons to get camera displayed.
  6. i wonder if drive format and/or file structure has something to do with this. maybe those who did not have an audio resume issue can share how their drives are formatted, etc
  7. Ok, I think we may not have a problem. I do stress the word "may". About 2 months ago, I changed my SSD file structure so that I would get Artist/Album/Song order where the songs would start with the 2 digit track #. I have 12,313 songs. After Format Read, it would play the first song and it would show 1 of 1113. I freaked out...I should have 12,313 songs, not 1,113. If I left the USB screen and came back, the available song number would get higher. It would show 1 of 1213, then 1313, etc..all the way to 12,313. The process was slow...but eventually it recognized all 12,313. Shut
  8. Well, I guess we all need to call and let them know. Of course when I called, I get "we are in training" so call back again.
  9. If the Kenwood DNN supported SSDs like the NEX does, I would probably make that jump
  10. So back from vacation and re-tried the above to see if it works properly. I'm getting similar results on the original file structure and new file structure. First format read takes it usual 20 minutes or so. When it's done, it starts to play the music and it's showing 12,136 available songs. Shut car down, start it up again. Format read takes about 5-7 minutes this time. Plays music...available songs drops down to 5,256 available songs. Shut down car again and restart and format read takes only 2 minutes before showing a different number of available songs. Going to the File tab sho
  11. So I've been on vacation this week and left this issue at home. I did initial drive format in NTFS. But I've tried different SSDs so my head is spinning in trying to remember the different scenarios I've tried. When I re-did the 2 digit track prefixes, it was in the existing folder structure. Before I left, I had Media Monkey re-do my original music folders, this time copying them to a new folder. I will then use Mini Partition to delete/wipe existing partition on SSD and create a new FAT32 and try that. I think that will solve the problem. Fingers crossed.
  12. I have FLAC files, otherwise I would just use a 160gb ipod classic and be done with it. Tickerguy's post reminded me. When I first did the folder restructure, it worked fine. But track #'s were messed up as it showed: 1 - Song name 10 - Song name 2 - Song game So I re-did it so that it would 01, 02, etc...correct sequential order. And it's after doing that is when I'm having problems. Looks like I will re-format my SSD, and try dBpoweramp instead.
  13. I'm coming up with an issue that I hope I can get some help with. I am using a 240GB Corsair SSD with USB 3.0 enclosure. Since day 1, it was working fine without issue. My music is around 85gb. I have a folder for each artist with all their respective songs in their folder. No subfolders. I used Media Monkey to rearrange the folder structure so that I would have Album subfolders in each artist folder. The software did that succesfully. I then transferred all of this to my SSD. NEX8000 format read it fine, taking the usual 20 minutes or so. Shut the car down. When I start car agai
