Just purchased the AVIC-S1's map update and I found the long waited 99% coverrage for my country. Now it is pretty complete.

I received the confirmation from Pioneer Portugal that the map update for the AVIC-S1 is delayed till the end of September.

If I'm not mistaken you can do the following: Click on map point and choose navigate. Then go to the Adress Book, then press + button and choose this position from the Destination History. I know it is not easy but it does the trick.

This is an excelent idea. Please teach us through the process. BTW: Does the Tomtom 6.2 include Europe's maps? Thanks

If I'm not mistaken about the ID I already sent him a backup of my AVIC-S1 Europe DVD. Unfortunately he didn't keep up with his part of the deal and did not send me the AVIC-S2 copy as agreed. We live to learn!

I'm pretty much tired of waiting for Pioneer to update the AVIC-S1 maps for my country (Portugal). The coverage that Pioneer offers is much worse than any other brand. Unfortunately I bought it abroad and realised it too late. In top of that Pioneed has been anouncing an update that would solve my problems but, months go by and nothing comes out. Is there a solution I can use in order to update the existing map? Even if a need to hack and instal another software. Thanks
