Okay, So I made a copy of the EAST dvd and put it in my navigation unit and it installed something and now i cannot get the unit to work at all. All it says is "Insert appropriate disc" I copied it using clonedvd and burned with a nexxtech DL dvd. I've inserted the original one back in and it still has no response. Does anyone know what happened?

Did you do a reset?

i reset the device by using the pen to the button next to the disc slot. I'm afraid it could be some anti theft security measure or what not...

Its gps antenna, its not getting a good enough signal. What you have to do is before you turn on your car put your hand on the end of the gps antenna "on the magnetic box thing" its been working every time when i get that issue.. And yes you can also just unplugg your gps antenna but i like useing my gps :-)

the problem couldn't be fixed... it appears that the backup copy of the nav CD installed like a different firmware on it, so it is unable to read the DVD. I sent it back and got another one with bluetooth, remote, and ipod connector for 70 dollars more...lol
