Is there a way to view the rear view camera while driving? It works when I put my car in reverse but is blank when I'm driving forward. I have the bypass done and can see DVDs while driving.
Am I missing something?
Thanx,
Paul

sounds like you hooked the red wire from the camera to the reverse wire in the car. it should be connected to the accessory wire of the car
Nope. I attached it to the accessory wire and attached the reverse wire to the proper input. For some reason, it just will not show anything when I select AV2.
You don't see the backup camera in AV2. AV2 is for the AV mini jack in front of the D3. When the D3 is displaying the navigation map, press the map button. 6 options should pop up over the map. I think the last option is the reverse camera.
Do you have to use the Pioneer camera with it?

No. Pretty much any one will work.

Do you prefer any brands over another. Can you get a decent one for under 50 bucks?
It could be the type of Camera that you have. Some Camera's do not have the option of being on while driving forward. The D3 has this option but it could be that your camera doesn't. I have the Kenwood rear view camera and it only comes on when I put the car in reveres. It is not made to be on when driving forward, unless you do some type of installation mod on it.
Press map twice, a menu will pop up and there should be an option for the rear view camera.
