Front - View Camera Question

Okay i know i can connect this to an av source, but that would mean my music (from ipod) will pause while i change to the av source....

now i'm not too familiar with the rear-view since i don't have it, but i do know you tap the reverse light positive wire so it'll notify the d3 to turn on the rearview.

what i want to do: i want to have my music constantly playing while displaying a front view camera.

questions:

when using the rearview, does the music pause?

what if i wire a front view camera as the rear view, but wire it to a constant power source (instead of the reverse light). then have a kill switch to kill the power..... (part 2) if i wanted a rear view camera, i'm positive that there's a module (act as a middle man) that will let me switch from front to rear while both wired to this module which is wired to the d3 as a rear view...

thanks in advance

Just wire it up the way the instructions say. Then go into the D3 menu to select nav view modes. The bottom right one is rear view and will display the camera picture even while moving forward and won't have any effect on your audio source

Just because it's a rear view camera doesn't mean you have to mount it looking from the rear. Just mount it on the front of the car. Just note that the image may be reversed depending on the type of camera you get.

Why would you ever need a front mounted camera anyway? Just look out the windshield.
