I'm getting really tired of reading topics of people wanting to install a switch to turn off the bypass so if they get pulled over they can show the cop they cant watch a dvd while driving!

Well thats the thing "while driving" how are you going to show the cop? Because you can watch dvds while your sitting still! The cop isn't going to jump in the car with you and take a role around the block to prove that you cant watch a dvd while driving!

If your scared of getting caught while using the bypass then don't do it! Most cops are not going to know that the D1, D2 or D3 is bypassed without taking your dash apart! Which he wont do!

So really people think about true life before posting a thread about trying to prove you cant watch and drive!

Excellent point. On top of that unless the cop is MECP cert. or an expert on car audio they probably wont even notice that its after market. If you got a movie goin turn it off before the cop walks up to your car, and they wont say a word.

Way to add to the pile of topics about adding a switch to the bypass, dude.

If they want to add one, what does it matter? It doesn't hurt you any. Plus the switch serves other purposes, such as if someone else is going to be driving your car, you want them to be watching the road, and not a movie.

Then how bout this... Don't put a DVD in it! dur.

Please explain to me how not leaving a DVD in the drive is going to stop whoever is driving the car from putting one in. Or how that would stop them from fumbling around with the nav while driving.

Well if you tell someone to not watch a dvd while driving the car and they do then they shouldnt be driving your car in the first place! They are showing thay they could care less what you tell them.

I guess you trust more people then I do!

It's a hypothetical scenario, dude. I'm just giving an example of what installing a switch on the bypass could be used for BESIDES the reason for which you're protesting against so adamantly.

Yeah but see, no one has posted saying its so no one other then you. They all say so the cops wont say anything................

Why do you even care in the first place? If they want to put a switch on it, they can put a switch on it. I don't see why you have to complain about something that other people are doing to their own stuff, which doesn't effect you one bit Besides, once most people set their minds on something, they're not going to change it because some stranger on a web site says it's not necessary.
