WHen i shut the power off to my N3 it sounds like there is a motor constantly running. Is this ooperation normal. The motor shuts off after I shut the igniton off..It also sounds like a fan running in the unit. It was Pro installed..I also posted this message under general Sorry for the redundancy.

sounds like normal operation...every review i've read on the avic series of HU's online complains about how noisy the internal fans are.
mine does the same, and so does a friend's who has a N3.

The unit is designed to stay on even when there is no source powered on. If you have amplifiers installed, they will remain on as well, to provide power for the voice guidance feature of the navi section. The navi portion is always on, hence the fans spinning until you take the key out.
