Hey everyone, I need some help. My D1 is not accepting POI or Vicinity searches. I can click on the buttons, pick the restaurants or whatever I am trying to find, but when I click on the selection, there is a momentary pause and then it goes back to the map view. My D1 is bypassed, and all that works great. I recently upgraded to the new 2007 Discs. I wonder if that can be a problem, but I don't know. I own two D1's and they both are bypassed, and they both are using the 2007 Discs. Now problems with the other one. Any ideas?

I have the burned copy. I don't believe that should make a difference. Or should it? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Try the disk in the working one and see if it works in the non-working one

Sounds like the copys were burned using a regular DVD instead of dual layer. To do that the POI's need to be deleted to fit on a regular dvd.

I kept having this problem when I used the torrent download of the 07 disk and added custom backgrounds to the disk. When I just burned it without adding backgrounds, it would work but would sometimes freeze on the POI and Vicinity screens and just go back to the map instead of displaying my results. I didn't have this problem when I made copies using my original 06 disk and added backgrounds. That disk works flawlessy but has a lot less POI's than the 07 disk. So I just bought an 07 disk off ebay for $15 and haven't had any problems since. I just loaded my BG's off the crappy 07 disk and then put the good 07 disk back in.
