Im looking at installing the Z-1 with the TV tuner this weekend in my 02 WRX, just wondered how all the other WRX'rs liked the unit! Thanks for your input!

I have an '04 STI, and the unit fit like a glove. No issues at all, just used the factory brackets.

I mounted my GPS antennea on top of the air ducts above the cup holder, and get very good reception. Just don't go too far under the clock (avoid metal).

The VSS wire was also very easy to find and use (behind the cluster). Check NASIOC for reference on location.

I mounted the microphone right infront of the instrument cluster, dead center of the steering column. Works great, but I don't have a Bluetooth adapter, so no sure if I'll have an echo problem.

Any specific questions, let me know. I'll do my best to assist.

I have an '04 WRX. Along with the Z1, I'm also running the DEQ-P8000 with the AXM-P8000 controller (shown), center channel, and voice/NAV speaker. Front separates are Infinity Kappas, rear Infinity coaxes, and 1 Audiobahn 10" subwoofer. One mult-channel Fosgate amplifier powers the entire system.

I mounted the GPS antenna on top of the 3rd brake light housing. The unit has worked flawlesly from day one.

I photoshopped the logos together, transferred it onto a CD, then loaded it. I have 2 versions, one with and one without carbon fiber background.

I have an 05 Legacy GT with the Z-1 mounted in the cubby location. As for the Subaru logo, I just did a google search for Subaru emblems and downloaded several .jpg's. Now when I turn on my Z-1, the Subaru emblem comes up rather than the default background. There are instructions on how to load backgrounds on this site, just do a search.
