well my D3 is working perfectly fine, it found the BT and BT audio etc

I connected my phone and my bros phone and the same issue happens.

The second I press the BT button, the (beep) you get when you press any button is gone, its really wierd. the only way Ican make the unit to beep when i press on buttons is by clicking on radio.

Last but not least the problem is with the BT, when i make phone calls out or try to answer phone calls, I cannot hear anything through out the car speakers. I thought you can dial in and dial out and all that good stuff and hear the conversation over the car speakers, Well i cant.

any help would be great. Everything is brand new, I bought the holiday package they had, D3, ipod, remote and bt.

Thank you

Are you using an external amplifier? If so, you probably hooked the power antenna lead to your amp's turn-on instead of the system remote wire. You basically only have sound when the radio is the selected audio source, right? Go into the settings and switch the antenna power lead from radio only to constant power.

Or take the radio out and switch the wire to the right one.

i hooked up the yellow one to the yellow one on the harness and the black to the black one one on the harness.

pretty much just taped into them. is that wrong?

whats the right harness?

yes the car is a bmw, so i m using an external oem amp, in order to get my radio and ipod to sound in the speakers, i have to hook up the blue wire (which is remote or something)

so what your saying makes kinda sense, which wires should i tap into for the BT to work right.

thank you soo much

Try goin into the setting menu and turn the power antenna lead to constant power first, just to see if that really is the problem or not, before pulling out the radio.

Make sure you have the ipbus cable in the right port as well. the pbus cable coming from the avic should be plugged into the "output" port of the bluetoof module.

I had the exact same problem when I first installed mine, and this was the cause. I matched up the colors on the cable and the back of the unit, (blue cable tip, blue jack) which is not correct. Make sure the cable is in the OUT jack, and I bet it will fix the problem.

That's because the blue end is supposed to be plugged into the back of the avic. The black end plugs into the bluetoof.
