HID's causing decreased radio reception on my D2!

I have HID lights in my headlights and foglights, and for some reason, when I turn on the fog lights, the radio reception gets staticy. It doesn't do it with the headlights on, only with the fog lights. This problem never happened with my old radio I had before I installed the D2. Reception is great with the fog lights off. Anything I can do to fix this other than turn off the fogs?

What kind of car is it. Is the hood steel or nonmetal?

02 Hyundai Elantra. It's the stock metal hood!

What you can try doing then is get a hold of a piece of 8 gauge wire and some ring terminals. Put the terminals on both ends of the wire. Then screw one to the hood and screw the other one to metal in the engine bay. Basically what you're doing is making a grounding strap for the hood. That should help block the emi caused by your hid kit. Also try changing the ground points of the ballasts. That might help too.

Thanks! I'll give it a try!
