How long it took for your D3 to get GPS signal for first time right after installation? Mine stays in LA for 3 days and don't move anywhere and I'm on east coast.

it shouldnt take more than a few minutes

Did you try setting your zone? Make sure your antenna is plugged in an not upside down or obstructed.

go into the diagnostics screen, and see if your GPS is unplugged.
it is.
the plug goes in, and meets some resistance.
and then you have to PUSH it in for the second resistance.
it's in then. and you won't be in LA any more.

Not to mention when the antenna is fully seated you hear a ver distinct "click"

Mine takes 15 mins or so after a reset. After that it has no probmlems getting all 8 sat positions filled.
