buy a aftermarket audi radio adapter harness from any autoparts store or you can go to bestbuy, target... etc. just connect the wires that are the same color or color/striped coming from the stock car harness with the pioneer harness. use can use electrical tape to secure the wires together or use a wire connector. heres the instruction manual from pioneers website to help you on your journey http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/p ... al0221.pdf . the pic at the bottom of my post is the afterfaket radio harness which makes the world of radio installs a better place. when you buy the harness, make sure it says the year of your audi on the packaging. good luck!

Good luck, if I remember right that cars really tight behind the dash.

There's no external brain on the d3.

Good Luck, take your time... I just assisted a co-worker with an install in his A4. What a PITA that was!

To answer the question about antenna locations -- my installer put the XM antenna and GPS antenna under the front dashboard speaker grille (which is plastic, so no RF bloacking issues).

He separated them by enough space so the two antennas don't appear to be affecting either other (XM and GPS frequencies are separated enough to be less of an interference issue, anyway)

I just installed my d3 in a 2008 Audi A4. I put the nav antenna in the sharkfin, all satellites right from the start. It's not terribly difficult to put it there, and I think it's worth it.
