Hey guys...first off just want to say this site is awesome...I was leery of getting a D-3 and installing it myself but once I came across this--I knew it was meant to be lol.

Anyways--I was hoping to have a few questions answered. First where can I find the VSS wire and the reverse wire.

2nd--Ive installed other units without video and such and have always got a after market harness that connected to my cars harness and then attached the wires accordingly...is that needed once again for this installation?

3rd--Finally I was looking into a back up camera--however I am totally stumped as to where to mount it?? Any ideas---I don't want one of the the license plate mounted once, because I have tinted covers for my plates and don't think it will fit...any ideas please let me know!

Also, I already have two 12 inch Rockford Fosgate subs with Fosgate Amp and Cap installed---will this be any problem switching over to the D-3 from the factory stereo?

the vss wire is in the aftermarket harness you need to buy to mate the d3 to your factory harness. pink vss from d3 to pink in metra or scosche harness. the factory color of the vss is white/green

backup wire is green/black in driver kick in the harness going to the back of the car. its a positive trigger.

i have not done a backup camera on a focus... so sorry no info there

as for subs.. as long as the line out converter was installed behind the radio... the rca's should be there.. so plug and play into the d3 sub out and turn your amp on with rem. wire

not a problem. maybe yo could make a custom bracket to go just below your bumper. just an idea???

Where do people normally mount their cameras in other cars?
