Is there anyway I can bypass the connection so that the video will play in drive mode? I tried grounding the emergency brake but it still shuts off while driving.

Pull out the head unit, peel back the silver sticker on the bottom and void your warranty, flip the little dip switch under the sticker. Thats it (make sure you have grounded the brake wire)
