I just installed the D3 in an 08 nissan xterra. didn't hook up speed sense but don't really need it.

Did mute and brake wire bypass. dvd works fine. but when i take the vehicle for a drive anytime I go over 10 mph none of the nav options are selectable such as address search, poi's. pioneer says it's a safety feature, you have to stop and pull up the e-brake in order to set new route. BS... if you ask me. i don't know how many times on the fly i need directions and def. don't want to pull over to type in new info. anyone have any thoughts? is there a bypass?

Yeah, but you didn't do the bypass correctly. You need to recheck the steps of the bypass. Did you move the mute pin up a notch and make sure it is set snug? Then ground mute and ebrake wire to a good ground.

Recheck all the steps in the bypass. Then recheck them again. And again. Until it works.

If you had done the bypass correctly, that wouldn't be happening.
