Bluetooth Interfering with GPS?

Installed my Z-2 yesterday and everything was working to a T.

Today I installed the bluetooth and iPod adapter. Went driving around to see if everything was working. Everything in the connection status screen was good except I was not picking up any satellites.

Thought I would keep driving. Nothing. I stopped to check everything and then got an error "Positioning is not possible due to hardware. Please contact your dealer or Pioneer service center."

Went back home, unplugged the bluetooth, and everything started working again. Eight satellites, maps, the whole nine yards.

Why will everything work without the bluetooth adapter but not with it?

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for you help.

Did you plug in the NDBT1 again to see if it worked after that? Maybe it just needed a reset

After a little digging I found a section in the Pioneer Hardware Manual about resetting the microprocessor.

One of the conditions it needs to be reset is "when changing the combination of equipment."

It says to turn the ignition off then press the reset button.

I did reset the HU during startup but apparently that is different than resetting the microprocessor.

Before doing anything this morning I hit the reset button while everything was off. Fired it up and everything is working like a champ.

It's always the little things...
