Hey everyone,

Just installed my Z2 today. Anyways, I connected both my Ipod Touch and Ipod 1st gen and both show up as connected and playing on my Z2 but has no sound. I tried doing a search but was unable to find anything on it.

Closest thing I found was ipod not connecting. But mine connects and plays just no sound.

Anybody ever have the same prob?

You plugged the P-bus cable into the wrong hole on the hideaway box on the ipod adaptor

Sorry to resurrect and old thread, but I've been searching for an answer. I had my Z2 professionally installed about one month ago. I'd been using my iPod since day one. I had to replace the battery to my car and lost a couple of things when the power was disconnected. I lost my backup camera, but figured out how to re-initiate that. Now, if I plug my ipod in the ipod connects (I can see the Pioneer logo on the ipod, I can see the songs and browse the ipod on the Z2) but there is no sound.

I checked the sound on the Z2 and it looks good. I checked the sound on the ipod and it's turned up about half way. I experimented by turn the ipod volume all the way up and all they way down. There was no difference.

Can someone help?

Is your "Auto ANT" set to Power? If it is set to Radio, like mine was, you may not get any sound from any IP-BUS connected items. Doesn't make sense to me, but it made my iPod work.

I have a similar problem that the AutoAnt/Power soloution that was given above did not fix. I too have had a z2 for a month that was professionally installed and everyhting including the iPod worked fine. I had to have a battery replaced and the iPod no longer plays music. The interface connects fine and the Pioner display shows all of my songs, playlists, etc. and I am able to navigate around the iPod via the Pioneer display but the music will not play. It loads up a song and just sits there, I have tried every button on the unit as well as I have reset the unit altogether to no avail. Ironically I can fast forward into the middle of a song yet it still will not start playing, it will just sit in the same spot (according to the song countdown timer display). Anyone have any solutions?

I am a new member, so forgive me if I have inadvertently not followed protocol. Nice to meet everyone.

jdog250atl here again, after reading several hundred threads I went through the five R's as described by Apple. For some reason I guess the changing of the battery sent a blip through the iPod that it didn't like. Although the iPod was working and displaying properly when both connected and disconnected from the AVIC, it seems to have corrected the problem when I rebooted the iPod (which essentailly means I held down the iPod's 'menu' and 'select' button for 10 seconds).

Now we're rockin!
