I got a reman z1 and am getting ready to install it, and the unit says it was manufactured in March 2006. That is the original manufacture date of course, and am wondering in order to bypass the unit will I need to use the older flashing headlight method or the 2 wire bypass. basically does a reman come with the later software or what it was loaded with originally? Thanks.

Do the 2-wire bypass. If it doesn't work, download and burn the bluetooth update and then it will work
