Does anyone know why some of the new CDs from Walmart will not come up right in the Z2? I got the new Garth Brooks and George Strait Cds and when I put them in the Z2, no data comes up, but when I put them in iTunes and downloaded to the iPod the titles were there. WTF???

Because Itunes updates constantly because its internet based. The Z2 doesn't connect to the internet so it has no way of knowing the information about brand new disks. Pioneer releases a Gracenote update every 6-12 months that you can burn and then put in your Z2

I had no idea what Gracenote was. Thanks,I assumed the data was already on the cd and the unit was not reading it correctly. Now that I know it is a database, then it makes perfect sense.

I did some research and there is updates on other head units on the pioneer site more frequently than for the Z2.

The last update that was issued was in March of 07. I used the update from their european site and it worked, lol. Their is a topic on here about that.
