does anyone know if using the steering wheel controls from my factory deck would be possible to change the volume or possible even songs and stuff on a D3?

pac swi-ps is what you'll need to make your steering controls work with the avic.

i have a 2004 f150 and my installer said it would be $125 installed...does that sound a little high to you?

The controls are what? $60 retail? more? Then about an hour to R&R the HU, wire up the SWC's and program the unit. Sounds fair, i guess.
