I did a search, but couldn't find a problem like mine. I have the z1, never have upgraded it to the z2. When i intially installed it, everything worked fine. Then my ipod got stolen right before apple released the new "IPod Classic" version. So i had to buy that one. Now when connected, everything works fine except the song won't update when change. It stays frozen on the intial song the entire time.

Very small problem, but very very annoying. Anyone got any ideas/seen this before?

Have you tried updating the firmware on the classic to the latest version. This was a common problem with them when it first came out, but it was fixed with the 2nd and 3rd updates

Ahh no i havn't... Didn't even think it was associated with the IPOD itself.

I'll give this a try. TY.
