First I'd like to thank everyone for ideas and suggestions on this board including the bypass.
I was having problems with my rear view camera and I knew the problem was a bad ground. Turned out to be the ground wire for the rear view camera RCA input had pulled out of the connector in the back of the unit. It is really easy for it to pull out especially when pulling the unit out to check the wiring so be careful.
The bad ground symptons are frame roll, smearing of video on top or bottom, poor performance in low light, and changing performance based on temperature or vibration of the car.
