This might be impossible...and this might sound retarded...but I think its doable...lol.

Anyway, I have a slingbox (a device that allows you watch live tv from your home cable box to any device with an internet connection)

Usually, I watch tv on my phone, and when the service is good its really good...I would LOVE to hook up a video out to my phone and plug it into my z1...I have a mini usb to usb adapter so the connection is not the problem (I don't think at least).

I'm thinking about buying this:

Do you guys think I can make it work somehow to where I can send the video from my phone to my z1?

I apologize in advance if this is completely idiotic

What kind of phone do you have? And does it have a video out port on it?

its pretty safe to say 99% of pocket pcs or any phone for that matter that can run sling mobile dont have a video out unless your willing to search high and low across the globde for that 1% that does, your best bet to do this would be to install a carpc with gps and then just tether it to your pocket pc you would have what u are looking to do, but to sum it up easily with the z2 its impossible.

Okay, there is a way, but it ain't cheep.

Here's one way

Get a cellular router (a router that takes a PCMCIA or PCI express EVDO or 3G card, or has EVDO or 3G connectivity built in)

Get a PCMCIA or PCI express EVDO or 3G card if necessary for your Cellular router.

Get monthly EVDO or 3G service through your cell provider

Get a slingbox for your car

Get a decent power inverter

Hook the router to the slingbox with cat5

Hook the slingbox to the Z2 with RCA cables

Enjoy.

most if not all poclet pc's offer 3g now so its pretty useless to bother with a 3g router when the phone can tether aswell but he doesnt need to give any other device 3g since the phone already has it, he wanted to outptut the phones video to the z2 something that cant be done unless your an expert at soldering and are willing to solder onto your phones lcd ribbon. Also why are you pluging the slingbox to the z2? thats suppsed to go into the TV/SAT at home not the car. Your going about it in reverse...

I was under the assumption that there was a sling box that could run the client... If not, then yeah. I guess there's no way without a PC. =\
