I bought my wife a D3 setup (Bluetooth, ipod,backup camera).

er only complaint is the speed at which the ipod interface works. I have seen some "playlist tricks" but has anyone heard of a way to speed it up or patches planned?

No, there's nothing you can do aside from some playlist/genre altering to filter the list a bit before scrolling.
