Seems dim, and I can change the brightness settings but it never actually changes. P brake wire is grounded.
Any ideas?

Well it was a combination of night mode and the 'dimmer' adjustment. Seems the higher the dim number, the brigher it gets...ass backwards if you ask me.

Dimmer = amount of light.
Higher number = more light
Lower number = less light
