iPod hiccups with the D3

Good Day,

Was wondering if anyone else was experiencing small music hiccups every once in a while with their iPod while a song is playing.

i.e. Will be listening to a song and all of a sudden the song will pause or the audio will go silent(almost like a CD skip) and then continue to play again after a few seconds +. I have also experienced where the song just stopped all together and had to actually turn off the system through the avic and everything came back up just fine.

I understand that it could be the encoding of the song(or songs) that could be the problem or is it the communication between the d3 through the cable to the iPod or both.

I have used Audion for encoding(easy to enter ID3 tags for non-commercial music) but mostly use iTunes for mp3 encoding @ 256kps 44.1 Normal Stereo-Best Quality.

Just checking if this is an isolated problem in my vehicle or have others experienced this as well. I did not come up with anything in the forum search related to this issue.

thank you

No problems here

The only thing I've noticed is sometimes on really cold mornings the ipod doesn't like to power on. After 5 or 10 minutes of using the heater, it usually powers up.

:o) Don't have to worry too much about the cold here in Florida. The system did fine with cold temperatures when I was back in the Midwest over the Holidays.

Alright, well it only happens every once in a while so I can deal with that.

I'm going with the encoding end of things rather than any hardware issues.

I have CD's that are 20yrs old and look like they have been through a few wars. Even with error correction on with iTunes I don't believe all would encode perfectly.

good vibes,
