Need a new brain

I have an AVIC N3 with a bad brain. Can I simply unplug all the connections going to the brain, swap it out, plug everything back in and be good to go? Or do I need to replace the screen/disc drive as well?

Can I hook an AVIC N4 brain to my N3 screen or do I have to get an N3 brain?

If the brain is the only part bad, just swap the brain.

No idea if the N4 brain will work

You can use a N1, N2, N3 brain. The N4 is a different system. Ebay has them, for around 100 to 200 bucks. I would stick with the N3 brain. The XM and Ipod interface looks so much better and way more info.
