Hi guys (and sorry in advance for my bad english... i'm italian...)

A BIG BIG problem with my new d3... Installed and bypassed on a vw golf plus V... All fine, but when i press off on the d3, the lcd is not shutting off, it says off in the upper left angle... with a picture of a guy sitting on a seat... but it stays incredibly bright... like it is powerd up... I've installed it with the adapter harness (a pionner one...) and a diversity antenna adapter... I've only done the bypass and nothing else... Any ideas on this? Thanks in advance and really sorry for my english...

The D3 stays powered on ALL THE TIME. That off button just means you're turning off the AV source. The unit stays on all the time that the car is on.

right... Seems that i'm not made me understandable... Maybe i try again... Even with the car off... The lcd stays powerd up...

Then you installed it wrong. Did you hook up the power wires to a constant power source, or switched?

There's two power wires. The yellow one goes to the battery, or a constant power source. The red one goes to the ignition, or a switched power source that's only on when the car is.

wtf is this written? i've not found it in the attached manual... I'll try this tomorrow... Any1 who has installed the d3 in a golf 5 that knows where the ignition wire is???

Its pretty much the most basic thing thats taught when installing a car stereo and its also in the installation instructions

There are also color coded tags ON THE WIRES that tell you what each of them go to.
