I'm looking at buying an Avic Z2 for my 2005 ford, I'm mechanically inclined but I've never tried to install a radio before, I'd really like to do it because I'm extremely anal about my truck and hate to let some geek at Bust Buy take a dremmel to my dash board. I'm fairly sure I'll need to do some trimming on the dash but other than that do you think I could tackle this? Is there a how to somewhere? I've done a lot of searching but I haven't been able to find anything specifically for my truck.

You should be able to buy a dash kit that fits the unit in the stock location no dremmel require. Metra makes a dash kit for the 2005 f250, I have used them many times, alsoo a regular ford plug 70-5520
