First poster here, any help would be appreciated. I'm looking at the D3 at Best Buy for $699.99 plus I have a 10% off coupon. The people at Best Buy seem to be clueless (nothing personal). I have a 2003 Escalade with Bose Premium standard factory radio with single cd am/fm and factory 6 disc changer with Onstar. No XM. I want everything to run exactly as factory once I have the D3 installed (i.e. steering wheel controls, Onstar, etc.). What all do I need to buy besides the D3 to make this happen ? I want Bluetooth capabilities, iPod controls, rear-view camera, & the ability to watch DVD's and use the navigation while driving.
If you could reference part numbers or links that would be great. I want to purchase and have everything on hand before I take it to the installer. Also, I just read that there are 2 different rear-view cameras available. Does anybody have a preference ? Does the D3 require any special mounts/hardware to make it look professional in the factory location ? I look forward to any helpful comments.
