Anybody know how to resolve this problem? My customer's H2 is in Dallas, Texas. Everytime we start up the truck the map automatically goes to Los Angeles, California.. cruisin' down the 101.

Also, often times the radio will turn off completely, but the screen will stay on.. Would this be a problem in result of the head unit going into protection mode from getting too hot?

Let me know!

This is an odd problem - I'd suggest: 1.) next time it does this, hit "Update Current Location" and touch the place on the screen that the truck is really at. If that doesn't immediately fix it: 2.)make sure "Demo" mode is turned off; 3.) make sure area 5 (OK, TX) is punched in; and 4.) check connection settings for the GPS; make sure it's getting a strong signal (when outside with a clear view of the sky). If not, it could be a GPS antenna/cable problem.

Check the voltage level on the constant wire when the truck is cranking. If it drops low enough, then the avic will reset causing the cali issue. It could also be a poor connection on the constant/ ground wires. The other way to check for the voltage drop as the problem would be to remove the constant and ground leads for the avic from the h2's harness, and hook them up to an outboard battery or other 12volt source. IF the system no longer resets during crank then you found the problem. Gonna have to find a battery that has higher cranking amp capacity than the battery currently in the vehicle.
