I just got an ipod video 5th gen I guess. Its the 60gig version. Firmware is version 1.2.3

When I plug this into my AVIC D3 with the cable cd-i200 I get the error 11 code. I have the d3 set to charge the ipod and the ipod shows that it is charging.

However! I can get sound coming out if I push the video button. However I have no control from the D3 only the ipod. Does anyone have a fix for this? I've tried doing some research on this and I haven't seen anyone say they can get sound using the video button. Please help!

Did you go into the settings of the iPod and turn on output of video?

Yeah it was already on. Very weird problem. I think the problem is the ipod itself because I tried my friends nano on my d3 and it worked just fine. We tried the ipod in his car with a regular pioneer deck and it wouldn't connect. So I just purchased a ipod classic 80g. Will I have any issues with this new ipod playing MUSIC??

I don't care about the video functionality. I just want music.

No, it'll play music just fine. Those only had issues with the video output.
