hello

I got the z2 installed. Only FM &AM radio works. my dvd, libraly, ipod,cd all have no sound. what went wrong? when playing library i could hear scratchy noises like it was trying to read the songs.

I searched for help here and someone mentioned to set the antenna setting to POWER.

Sounds like you've got an amp installed and it's being controlled with the AVIC's blue antenna-power wire instead of the Blue/white amp-power wire.

Try going to the AUTO ANT setting and changing it to power. If that doesn't help, you're in the same boat with this guy.

I actually tried "AUTO ANT setting and changing it to power" -- did not work. The installer said my car has power antenna but my antenna broke so i replace with oem non-power antenna. He will try to switch the blue wire like you said and see.

After letting the profession installer looked at it. Now there is sound from IPOD and XM but not DVD/CD Rom. It cannot play CD, once plays you'll hear horrible scratchy sound. DVD plays no sound just picture. IPOD and XM works awesomely. I just want to double check before I am exchanging the Unit through the seller and hassle through packaging and fee.

any advice?
