I had my Z2 installed about a month ago and everything was working fine until yesterday. Now it shows my location way off, shows me moving when I'm stopped, shows me miles ahead of where I really am, shows me driving in fields etc.

Anyone have any suggestions ? I sure hope it's something simple.

Antenna location/obstructed

What does the signal page look like? How many orange satellite icons...How many bars?

Dead reckoning should have known you stopped, even if you have no signal. Sounds like it's not working properly. I'd recommend resetting your 3D learning and distance studies. Refer to page 99 in your Z2 manual. Or, here, I'll snip it for you:

O.K, tried resetting the 3D learning and distance studies and no luck, when I check it shows no signal strength and says there is no antenna connected. I checked and it is connected securely and was working 2 days ago?

Ah, well there's your problem ;) No signal is one thing, but if it says GPS antenna not connected, it's generally a hardware problem. Either the cable isn't seated properly, or the GPS antenna/wire is damaged.

Try reseating the connector (even if it already feels tight).

You might also try some resets -- start with a Level 1 and go from there. See: Excerpt: Resetting the Z2 to Factory Settings on my GPS page:

Found the culprit, Somehow when I was moving things around to install the back-up camera it looks like I ripped the antenna wire in half. I spliced it back together and it works like a champ. Already ordered the new antenna and I'm feeling much better now!
