Ok, so I have no idea what is hapening, but i'll post it here and see if you guys can help.

I got a z1 - with the hack from avic411 along with bluetooth, ipod and xm traffic - about a year ago. I just got a great deal on a z2 and so was upgrading. I basicaly just did a straight swap of the boxes. It works perfectly fine but I can't do an address search - which basically renders this useless.

Any idea of what could be wrong?

yup! will the z1 bypass work with a z2?

Only the two wire bypass will work. the old DucatiBoy flasher will not with with later Z1's and any Z2's.

Look at the sticky under the "Hacks" Z1/Z2 section.
