I bought a Z1 which was manufactured in April 06, and it came with the bypass module from ducatiboy. I connected everything like it should be, but the bypass doesnt work. It still locks me out and wont let me play dvds. The only time the unit will NOT lock me out and will play a dvd is right after i press the reset button. But if i turn the car off and on again, it will not work anymore.

Now as far as connections go...its all connected as per your diagram. The green brake wire is not connected to anything. Its taped off.

The unit will dim or go into night mode if i turn on my headlights.

I dont know where to go from here....any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, BART

Download the bluetooth update and then do the two-wire bypass instead

I'm a little scared with the potential problem that it might not load correctly and freeze up. I would much rather try to get this bypass module to work. Thanks, BART
