My bluetooth works perfect on my Head unit. The only problem is that when I receive a text message, the Avic starts ringing as if it was a call. I can open the text message and delete it and everything and the unit doesnt stop ringing. I've tried pressing the answer as well as the hang up button and neither work. Only way to get rid of it is to make a quick outgoing call manually which "bypasses" the non-stop ring. Does anyone know of a way to make the pioneer NOT recognize text messages.

Might want to include what phone model / brand / service provider..

i don't think that'd have anything to do with the problem. i have a Sanyo 3200, a basic standby phone until i upgrade later on with Sprint.

It'd make better sense if the solution was in the unit and not the phone.
