Hi all,

I allready searched but I get confused...

My actual position don't change, and I don't have any satellites, I don't know if the unit is learning or what!

I need also to connect the VSS and reverse signal... could be because one of this!?

Speed pulse: 0 (not pluged)

GPS antena: ok, 0 satellites

Hand brake: ok (its not pluged!)

ilumination: nok (don't know why, have to check connections)

reverse: low (not pluged)

And also, theres any update for my unit?

I'm using a pioneer harness, and will have professional installation in 3 days for steering wheel interface and ipod, but couldn't wait

The car is a 2003 mercedes C coupe

Thanks for any input.

Just a wild guess but where is your antenna located? The antenna may not be able to see any satellites or the antenna wire could be damaged.

The "OK" indicates it's connected properly. Sounds like it just doesn't have line of sight to the sky. Is it on a metal surface? Is it under a metal surface?

Thanks guys for the replys

The antenna is no near of metal, its above the instrument cluster, where the factory gps antenna was.

Maybe I putted the antenna upside down! The magnet is up or side down?

The magnet should be on the bottom side of the antenna. Make sure the antenna can see the sky through a window or try mounting it externally. Basically if you have it mounted inside underneath a dash or something metal you may not get any reception.

And put it on that metal pad that Pioneer gives you

The antenna needs to be on metal, magnet side down. As said, use the metal pad that came with it if mounting on dash.

If you lost yours, you can buy another for $7 here:

Do yourself a huge favor and toss that piece of crap metal panel that comes with the unit. Then go to a hardware store and buy you a piece of sheetmetal and cut it to fit a spot. Make it as large as you can (within reason of course) You can use Velcro, glue, screws, rivets, etc to fasten it. Then toss your antenna on it and call it good. You will be amazed at the difference in reception you have. I had Ducatiboy do this with his car and he was amazed at the difference.

Like others said, make sure there are no metal objects above the antenna and it has a view of the sky. All my antenna mounts on several cars are under the dash or plastic panels. Every one...including XM. Not one antenna is visable. Every single one works extremely well.
