This Z1 has been working fine for almost 2 years now.

Then suddenly I noticed that the front right speaker has gone dead.

I don't know anything about the amp in the Z1 and so my question is:

Can one of the four channels go dead in the amp while the other 3 stay up?

I'll be checking the wiring from the Hdunit to that speaker but don't have much hope of finding anything there.

Usually, if one goes bad, they all go bad. I would check all of the connections between the dash and the speaker itself, and even check the speaker to make sure it is not wearing lipstick.
