Ok, so I think I just got a great deal. Purchased the AVIC-D3X with the ipod cable, blue tooth thing. Then purchased the pioneer scc1 tuner and pioneer interface thing on ebay for $90. I got the AVIC-D3X for 699.00 out the door from al-eds.com, I couldnt beleive it.

So my question is this. If something new is constructed will the nav unit be able to know this? Say they built a new resturant will the AVIC recognize it?

its not a magic box. it will only get new info when software upgrades come out and you buy them
