He can't do the " hack " but he said he will move the pin up and connect the mute wire to the break wire , and once I ground the break wire then the bypass will work? is this true?

why dont you do the bypass like everyone has said!!! i done it over the weekend and took less than 30 min, works like a dream, could not have been easier

he probly doesnt want to take responsibility!
what he is doing will work great! ground is a ground no matter what color the wire is

Yes, it will work. If the mute wire is attached to the parking brake wire, when the parking brake wire gets grounded, the mute wire will be grounded with it.
