I'm sorry if this question has been raised, but I have been the owner of a Z1 for two years with the video bypass unit http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=166 installed. My question is in regards to wether or not the bypass unit still functions once one has upgraded the software to mimic the Z2.
Now, I'm not a tinkering geek (no offense intended to anyone who is) but just don't have the computer know-how to hack anything. So, I would like to go the much more expensive but hopefully fool proof method of upgrading by forking over my dollars to Pioneer for the upgrade but would still like to play videos for my passengers while driving.
No accidents yet...and I don't have any intention on getting into any by watching the music videos I like to play for the entertainment of my passengers.
Does anyone have any info on this? Is there a link that any of the savvy forum members might direct me to, to become informed?
