Ok i am getting ready to purchase the avic-d3; however, i have a few questions before i by it.

First ?. what is the whole thing about the bypass what happens when you do or dont bypass the unit?

Second?. Can i have a dvd playing while i am driving for my passangers?

Help would be great

The unit comes with the nav and video functions locked out unless you have the parking brake on. The bypass gets rid of the lockout so you can enter nav destinayions, play videos, etc. while the car is moving.

so how do you bypass it because i dont want to have to take the dash apart 5 times to get it right

there are lots of posts on this forum about how to bypass it go to the AVIC d3 hacks/mods section you'll find the sticky there....its quite simple im just not doing it myself cuz im not to familure with this kinda stuff and im pretty lazy
