I'm about to order the AVIC-D3X package and was hoping to get it installed in one night, because I won't get it until Friday and I leave for a trip on Saturday and would love to be able to use the navigation features. My question is how hard of an install is this? I recently installed another DVD unit a couple months ago, however that unit did not have navigation or a Bluetooth adapter. I already have the required harnesses to maintain the factory door chime and all that. And my system is a Bose one. So how hard will this be? Thanks for any advice.

Shouldn't take you more than a few hours if you've had experience of installing a car stereo before. The only things different than just a DVD player install would be the nav antenna, reverse and speed signal wires, and the bypass if you're doing that... which are all pretty simple things, really.

Thanks for the quick reply. I remember that it's basically just connecting a wire from the unit to a wire on the harness with a wire nut. Are the speed sensor wires installed the same way?
