Wait, what do you mean. Can you not use the navigation features while driving? I just ordered this unit, so I'll be pretty disappointed if that's the case.

well are you installing it yourself?....the bypass is very simple just follow the instructions on this forum you gotta move the mute wire over and ground off the parking wire......i just have no experience doing this myself so the installer will do it for me.....only reason im paying $50 is cuz i didnt do it when i got the unit installed in the first place...........when you get it installed just tell the installer or do it yourself bypass the unit...might charge you like 20$ more or something but when installing it its not that much trouble mines just taking it back out doing that and then putting it back in....but ya you cant use the navi features or watch videos while you drive unless you get the bypass the navi features only let you charge routes n stuff like that when you have it in park with the brake on...you can only let it guide you while you drive or cancel the route....but the simple bypass(doesnt harm the system at all or anything) allows you to go ahead and use the navi and video goodies while driving

Gotcha. Well sounds like it is a good idea to go ahead and do it before I install the unit. If it's as easy as I've heard, it shouldn't take too much extra time, and being able to enter new destinations while driving would be very convenient.

ya its gonna make things alot easier....and ya shouldnt take that long the installer said its gonna take him about 30-40 minutes to do it tomorrow
