D3 Install with Retained Power

Has anyone installed one of these in a GM and kept the Retained Acessory Power? I kind of like that and want to keep it. Also do I want to hook my Illumination wire to my Interior Park Lamp Voltage or the Instrument Panel Lamp Supply?

I already need a PAC SWI PS, so I guess one more won't matter if I need to get it. I am working on an 01 Silverado as well.

I installed it in my '06 Impala SS with the GMOS-LAN-01 kit and retained all factory chimes/warnings, OnStar, and retained accessory power. This takes care of the illumination/dimmer connection, as well as the VSS and backup signal. Worth the $60 just for those couple details alone.

I also installed the SWI-PS module for steering wheel controls and they work flawlessly (so far). I hear that the unit gets very "laggy" after long periods, likely due to overheating (?), but I haven't had this issue yet.

PM me with questions, if you want. Or post them here.
