I can't get my unit to work correctly. (ie it thinks I'm moving now and won't let me type in an address)

Any idea how to fix that? Any reset in the front of the unit?

There is a reset hole about the size of a ball point pen on the faceplate

what does it do to the unit? Will I have to put in the clock time etc? does it reset my save preferences or anything?

The time is acquired from the satellites. You will lose all your audio settings, presets, etc. Basically everything except your nav address book, the 'home' button, and the 'go to' button

Do you think that will solve the problem I'm having? What would you do?

I would hook up your VSS wire and clear out your settings in the connection status screen

I wish I knew how to do that. I had it installed and can't even get behind my dash. I guess I'll have to try the reset first. It's just strange though that it just stopped working. (I've had it since new and it's been 3 years!)

Okay, finally fixed it! Reset the thing which worked well, then I noticed that I had one of my toggle switches off (that makes it think the park. brake is on, etc...etc...) Let's just say I'm an idiot! That's all it was!~
